glad you liked the links, those bands, and others of a similar vein, imo, push the envelope way more than the gang of 'jam bands' that populate the pages of the music press; fortunately, you can find quite a lot of good stuff here at the archive

one show that i've been listening to a lot lately is here:

http://www.archive.org/details/mono2010-03-21.Nijmegen.flac16

it won't be for everyone that's for sure, but i highly recommend it; i haven't had the time to check out much of what is available here for Mono, but if you come across anything that grabs your attention, definitely let me know

not a whole lot of Sungrazer on the archive, but this set is excellent:

as is this set in 24bit

if you're into really long extended jams, check out The Machine (not the pink floyd tribute band btw)

i haven't checked out any of these Rotor shows, but tigerbolt is a fan and highly recommends their music

if you're preference is for bands that are perfect and precise and 'safe' and embody the spirit of skim milk and play nice corporate venues with clean rest rooms then i'm probably not the person to give you recommendations, but if the following type of music grabs your attention...

Thee Oh Sees - Contraption/Soul Desert

Rocket From The Tombs - Ain't It Fun

TelStar Sound Drone - I Bunkeren

Thanks, I will dig in . Like I say, like SCI, but don't love them . Phish, I think is the king of the heap, I really like Trey's playing, but I don't LOVE them . I tried .
I sorta like goofy Moe, but you can only go so far . Like RREarth, etc.
I my post on the Mermen ( who I do love) I point out my disappointment that most "jambands" are sort of limited . Very little that has that "psychedelic feel .
But I like all kinds of stuff, so I give 'em a listen .
Thanks again for taking the time to do this .
